It had been six years since Fr. Antonio last visited his family in Australia. With a canceled mission (prior to Covid), Sr. Caterina was also very eager to visit the "Land Down Under". Following much prayer, the friars and sister had discerned that they could finally visit the distant land of Australia. They Squeezed the time into their "already busy schedule," for it was time to go.
Tickets were purchased with the help of: Sr. Caterina's parents, Fr. Antonio's father, and Fr. Greg Morgan (Pastor of St. Catherine Laboure Parish in Gymea, Sydney) together with Fr. Antonio's fellow classmate at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI, Fr. Noel Custodio (an associate priest of the Archdiocese of Sydney). Thanks to those mentioned above, Fr. Antonio, Friar John Paul, and Sr. Caterina were finally able to depart from New Orleans, Louisiana to Sydney, Australia.
During the 5-day visit in Sydney with the St. Catherine Laboure community, they had the opportunity of explaining the PFSGM Community's lifestyle and giving their witnesses in a 3-day retreat. And on the last day, a mini-parish retreat on the theme of "How God Speaks." They also had the opportunity to visit some priest-friends and do some sight-seeing.
The Archdiocesan newspaper also took interest in the community - writing a frontpage article (you can read the full article by clicking on the link below these images).

The Little Friars and Little Nun then left Sydney to Adelaide. Their time with family was mingled with visits, Masses at Church community where Fr. Antonio spent his childhood (the Belair, Blackwood and Aberfoyle Park - Holy Family Parish), and mission visits to the Preca Community and St. Benedict School while also greeting several furry Australian creatures.
After a fruitful mission,
the three returned (a little jetlagged) back to Louisiana, ready to return to their local mission here in the USA
- ministering at Holy Family
Parish (in Dulac) and St. Eloi
Parish (in Dularge).
